What are the white markings on the neck? PDF Print E-mail
The white markings on a Standardbred's neck are the Freezebrand - a series of symbols that indicate which state in Australia the horse was born in, as well as its registration number.  New Zealand freeze brands are similar, although other countries may only use a  tattoo inside the horse lip for identification.
